When I was young, a neighborhood family suffered a tragedy. Some of my friends and I decided to put together a benefit to raise money to help them.
One friend was in a band, so they volunteered to play for free for the evening’s entertainment. Some businesses in the community donated items to use for raffle prizes. The venue offered a discount too. The biggest expense was the food that was catered.
Even with all the help and donations, there was a lot of planning involved. It’s a lot of work, and there are many details to keep straight, when it comes to large events. I have to admit that I was in over my head at first, having no idea how much was involved.
It was important though, so we worked hard and managed to get it together. While everything wasn’t perfect, it did go fairly well. We ended up raising thousands of dollars for the family, but it certainly gave me a new respect for event planners. You just don’t realize all the work that goes on behind the scenes, until that work is on you.
Kindness costs nothing to give but is priceless to the one receiving it.
Charity is a good thing. I would love to plan a charity benefit. I have never done this before. Never got a chance to do it. I don’t think that I would plan a big event though. A small one will do for me. I am not a person to organize big events.
This is really a great opinion and I think all people who can afford to pay or invest their time and resource on charities should perform enough effort on his subject.
To address humanity, charity activities are one of the best choices, additionally many experts believe people can contribute not only to payments but also be active in charity groups as performers and human resources.
